Virginia Tech Shootout!

""Go back to your normal lives.""

date: July 25, 2007

Interestingly enough, this seems to be much more than the average "Bastards" collection parody Flash.
...Though I'm not all that surprised that many here would perceive it as such.

Bortner Chronicles Ep. 2

""This could be the beginning of a GREAT episode.""

date: July 23, 2007

As I've said several times, though, there is one serious issue with this movie.
- One which I will hopefully be able to address by the end of this comment.
- One which, like Jab, is designed to adapt itself to each individual personality or situation it comes into contact with.
- One which may apply even more directly to my good firend, Tyler Bortner, than to any other cabinmate here.
- Cabinmates, yes. I would think that really is what's happening here tonight. The "big event".
In summary though... it is a bit of a warning sign.

My GOD, Robots! Pilot V2

"."

date: April 5, 2007

Although I viewed it on DeviantArt a few times in 2005, as well as 2006, it continues to impress and amaze me quite a bit.
Somehow, I really had missed some elements of the style, feeling, and atmosphere that the series holds.
I rewatched the series again today, and it felt almost... "heartwarming" - seeing your distinct animation style again, along with hearing Matt Wilson's musical score.

This was definitely a quality experience, Austin Breed of Smithville.
With all of its voices...

It is for the best.

Damn you and your mind powers, Thuberbaer.

Someday I will find a way to defeat you.

Lazy eye

"It holds an appealing taste..."

submission: Lazy eye
date: February 14, 2007

There was just something appealing about the simplicity of its graphical style - in relation to the song.
They seemed to match so very well.
Maybe its also partly because of your color choice... the contrasting greys.

If anything, it had a strong flavor, which I tasted with great pleasure... only after it grew on me a bit though, which occurred only a few hours after I first watched it on DeviantArt, at which point I couldn't really taste it at all.

You ought to continue, young British (Little Engine) train Engineer.
- And you will.

Author's Response:

Oh hey! yea you're on deviantart, and I'll try to.. hopefully..

Tv Mount

"I sure haven't felt this in a while..."

submission: Tv Mount
date: February 12, 2007

Emotionally and mentally riveting.

Its voice is so honest - as are each of its individual voices.
Even when they speak out of dishonesty - an honesty prevails through their unified voice.

Inspirational.

New friendships are formed.
New worlds experienced.
"Mixing of the worlds is illegal in these parts,"

- It took an awful amount of courage to break that regulation.

Inspired.
I haven't felt so inspired in recent days...
Until my eyes fell upon that baby, and moreso, its bond with Tv Mount.

I don't think that's ever happened before.

Its nice to see how this new generation responds to such situations...

MONGOOSEcollab

"...And what wonderous fur..."

submission: MONGOOSEcollab
date: January 13, 2007

What wonderous fur they held as their own...

I had only started working on my part at about 1:55:31 AM, and by 2:02:47 AM, I had created no more than one frame of a ObsidianMongoose nose dryes ? (or nudles)... At which point, I realized that the collab had already been submitted, and that I had made a terrible mistake. :'{

Just look at all of that fur, though...
One can't help but wonder...

.

Never in recorded history was there a higher awareness of MongooseDay than this.
ScarletMongoose, RabidMongoose, VisceralMongoose, ObsidianMongoose, DerangedMongoose, PlatinumMongoose, LiqidMongoose, MinaMongoose, and KristyMongoose, will be greatly pleased.

MMMM In A Nutshell

"The most accurate depiction I've seen yet..."

submission: MMMM In A Nutshell
date: August 16, 2006

Only from a Munglai, could such a documentary of the 'inner', yet also non-spatial, workings of its subject's life and mind be brought forth.

The soundtrack... was amazing the entire way through.
The visuals worked perfectly with the audio, together creating a very unique atmosphere, that really worked in pulling in the viewer... increasing their desire to become a part of it all, and helping them to withdraw from their physical realities.

I'm guessing you're a fan of Jon Brion's music... and Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, as well.

Somehow, this Flash matched the atomsphere's in your paintings more than in any of your other Flashes, I think.
Each time I saw your other paintings, the type of music that would come to my mind and play out in each brush-stroke would be a kind of Jon Brion esque composition.
They just... flew, backwards, forwards... anywhere they would fly, they simply flew... without limitations - and that's exactly what this did.

Timeless, would be the best word to describe it.
The mental environment that it creates knows no time... it just exists...

I had forgotten that a Flash could have the capability to do that.

Author's Response:

Wow you're an impressed guy.

I'm not very good at limitations, my brain goes out of the way to DESTROY them with a big thumb laser.
